Yogurt Parfait

Summer is such a great time to enjoy the fruits of the season.  This Three-Berry Yogurt Parfait with Sea Salt is a perfect way to enjoy a hot and sultry summer night with a special someone (in my case, DH!) or the whole gang of family and friends.

1 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt
Yogurt Parfait1/2 Cup Berries
Pinch Sea Salt
1 Teaspoon Turbinado Sugar

In a sundae dish or a pretty vertical glass place a small amount of berries on the bottom and add 1/3 of the yogurt.  Add half of the remaining berries with a 1/2 teaspoon sugar, along with 1/2 of the remaining yogurt.  The final layer will have more of the berries, the sea salt, remaining yogurt and finally the remaining last bit of berries with the rest of the sugar.

Makes 1 serving.

The berries used here were blueberries, raspberries and black berries.  Any fruit will work.  Fresh or frozen fruit is nice.  What about canned mandarin oranges and omit the additional sugar.

What did you think of the addition of the sea salt?  What fruit did you use?

P.S., This recipe and especially the sea salt idea came from The Kitchn.  Thank you, Sara Kate for the great idea!
